Another Oblivion fangame and a homage to Shoplifting Boy, the first ever stealth game, created by Hiroshi Suzuki. Special thanks to Alex Lemcovich for both introducing me to the original game and helping me with additional research

Controls:
WASD to move
E to steal something right of you
Q,  to steal something left of you
Escape to access options

New: As of version 1.6, I've added experimental controller support! Will change the menu appropriately soon-ish

About the game and its creation:
This is the shortest amount of time I've ever worked on a game. Three days from start to finish. Thankfully, I had the music from previous projects and could draw inspiration from several unreleased games featuring my character for the sprite work.

My goal was to imitate a GameBoy Advance title and respect (most of) the platform's constraints. The resolution is 240x160, which is so tiny, I can't believe how hard it was to find room for text when drawing the images. Colour was probably the hardest part, and I intend to rework some of the visuals because they very obviously lack the polish I need to be satisfied of my work.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy playing this little game, and I encourage you to share your high scores! Or report any bugs. Or both!

Neat game and homage.

Bugs I experienced:
First attempt, the controls where jumbled. QE moved me left and right. Z moved me up, AD stole left and right.
I then got caught and no controls worked when trying to play after the gameover screen, and game had loaded.
After a site refresh, it worked complete fine, and no issues.
My best score was 56 seconds and 28 items stolen. Rank Master Thief.

Thank you! I've been trying to figure out where the freezing when pressing E or Q comes from but so far nothing has worked, I hope trial and error can eventually get me there

Pressing A or Q defines whether you're using an AZERTY or QWERTY keyboard, but it might be more trouble than it's worth, I might remove that in version 1.03.

Under a minute, not bad!

EDIT: As of version 1.04, both the freezing issue and the QWERTY/AZERTY controls issues have been fixed!
